To help promote Scots Gaelic music in Minnesota, I was  awarded the 2014 Folk and Traditional Arts Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. Since then, it is our mission to continue the growth of this blog with more resources for those interested in Scots Gaelic Song and Music from the Western Isles in a simple and easy to access format.

This blog is a free resource for people who would like to learn more about Scots Gaelic song, translations, historical significance and experiences with the music from the Western Isles of Scotland.   To access the Scots Gaelic Song Student resource page, you will need to make a donation no less than $2.  Once I reach a goal of $50 I will add more resources to the student pages.

I hope you enjoy!

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota state arts board thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
